Hi, I am Erica.
Allow me to Introduce myself…
My name is Erica Medina.
I am a first-generation Latina American born in Seattle, WA. My father was an Immigrant from Mexico City. I began cooking at a young age making meals with my father. I grew up all over the North American continent, from Seattle, Phoenix, Monterrey Mexico, Kansas City, Louiville, Florida Keys/Miami, and back to Kansas City where I am Currently.
How it all Started…
My professional cooking career began at the age of 15, in the nationally ACF accredited high school culinary program offered by the Shawnee Mission School district. The Broadmoor Bistro. There, I fell in love with the craft, the atristry, the perfection, the flavors the smells. The stainless steele jungle became my home. In High School I started competing nationally and won scholarships to pay for Culinary School. I left Kansas City and earned my Associates of Science majoring in Culinary Arts at Sullivan University,
Currently I …
As of right now, I am the current Chef de Cuisine at a Country Club in Kansas City. I have been at my current club for 3 years. I found my love for clubs after my college apprenticeship in Key Largo, Florida. Clubs allow me the freedom to create, in a positive uplifting environment, while growing and developing my skills as a culinarian.
Additionally I also provide event catering, private dinners, guest chef events, and meal prep services for my community.
I dream about…
A world where all of my passions collide…
I dream to be in a place where I can create for the artists that mean most to me, reciprocating the energy and light they give me.
Physically nourishing the ones who nourish my soul. <3
I dream of becoming a personal/private chef for my favorite music artists.
We didn’t come this far, to only come this far…
